Do not ignore any email from Guidehouse–it could cost you

By ION

Like everyone else, you probably get hundreds of emails daily, offering new services or just spam.  One email you cannot ignore is the one from Guidehouse. CMS has contracted with Guidehouse to conduct data validation and audits of your MIPS eligible clinicians – to confirm the accuracy of your reporting. An email will come from MIPS_DVA_request@guidehouse.com with the subject line: Notification of Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Data Validation and Audit (DVA), Performance Period 20XX.

The email could be addressed to any of the MIPS eligible clinicians in your practice, so be sure to make them aware of this request. You have 45 days from the date of the notice to provide the requested information, which could include copies of claims, medical records or other data you used to calculate your MIPS measures.

If you do not respond within those 45 days, your practice could receive a payment adjustment and it increases the possibility of future audits.

If you had a MIPS Consultant from the MIPS consulting team help you in your MIPS submission, please forward that email or notice immediately, so we can help you submit the required documentation (if the MIPS Audit Assistance was purchased).  Otherwise, we can start a conversation about how we can help.

If your practice has not utilized the MIPS consultants to help you, now might be the time to consider how we can help in the future.  Contact us at: QREG@intrinsiq.com
